IMMEDIATE RELEASE FOR ANARCHISTS MICHALIS TRAIKAPIS AND ALEXANDROS KOSSIVAS NO PROSECUTION FOR ANARCHISTS MARIA ECONOMOY AND VENOS POLYKRETIS

Update 26/10/11 on the development of the trial for the robbery in Psahna Evia, Greece. The trial, which takes place in the court of Chalcis, for the case of the robbery of the National Bank in Psahna was postponed for a second time, because of the advocates strike, for November 15th. The chairman of the court is one of those that particiapated in the councils (six-month, twelve-month), which examined the extension of imprisonment of comrades M.Traikapis and A.Kossivas where was decided the extension of their imprisonment. On October 18th, sceduled day for the beginning of the trial, a gathering had been called. In our presence there we observed a usual phenomenon in trials of anarchists-fighters but all these are by no means worthy of mentioning. One of the main defense witnesses named HALEPA, who in her testimonies “accidently” fell into contradictions, was conversing with blunt familiarity with the cops. This bidirectional relationship emerged during the procedure via the following ways of approach: Talking, coffee and patronizing tap on her back accompanied by the expression “everything will be fine”. Upon viewing this incident witnesses and cops accepted from the present comrades a proportional verbal abuse. The existence of HALEPA proves that in order to “targetize” this trial such “testimonies” are essential.

The trial of anarchists Simos Seisidis and Aris Seirinidis came to a close in Athens on Wednesday, Oct 11.

Simos Seisidis acquitted, once again – juridical system continues revanchist games against anarchists According to the decision, Simos Seisidis was acquitted from the charge of “attempted murder” against the same policeman who shot him in the leg, eventually forcing its amputation. Seisidis was only convicted for gun possession, sentenced to 18 months, a particularly high sentencing for the offence. Similarly, his co-defendant and anarchist Aris Seirinidis was sentenced to “disobedience” rather than “resistance against the authority” (a more minor misdemeanour) and was equally convicted for gun possession, with a total sentencing of 18 months, on bail. Simos Seisidis will remain in jail as he is now in pre-trial for a fourth (!) case against him. This is the fourth case brought against Simos, who has now been acquitted for the previous three. Aris Seirinidis is already free.
